Elementary

We believe that the most impactful learning occurs when students are placed at the center. Across all subject areas, our teachers integrate interactive, project-based learning opportunities that enable students to meaningfully engage with academic content. Teachers collaborate with one another to create cross-subject learning experiences as well as bilingual projects that deepen students’ linguistic understanding of new subject material. 

Our small class sizes allow for more personalized instruction. Each student brings unique abilities and strengths with them to the classroom each day. Our teachers strive to differentiate instruction accordingly and provide students with both support and challenges that facilitate their growth. 

Above all, we prioritize the social and emotional well-being of our students. Throughout our curriculum, we weave in opportunities for students to learn the importance of becoming supportive and productive members of both our school community and within the larger context of the world. Students are taught to embody our core values of having respect for all people and cultures, taking responsibility for their own actions and leading with kindness and compassion.

In addition to ongoing formative and summative assessments in students’ core subject area classes, our school administers the MAP growth assessment to 1st through 7th graders. This evaluation method used in math, reading, and language usage provides our teachers with accurate and actionable results to help target instruction for each student.
